FilmLight has finalised its jury for the 2026 FilmLight CAMERIMAGE Colour Awards, naming award-winning American cinematographer and director Sean Price Williams as Jury President.
Williams leads an international panel of industry leaders from around the world, including newly announced members director Fabien Baron, cinematographers Darran Tiernan, ISC and Vijay Kartik Kannan, and colourist Jodie Davidson among others.
Sean Price Williams is a cinematographer and director described by The New Yorker as “For many of the best and most significant independent films of the past decade”, he has shot films for filmmakers like the Safdie Brothers and Alex Ross Perry. In 2023, he made his directorial debut with ‘The Sweet East’, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
“I am honoured to be given the awesome opportunity to head the jury this year and make noise for my favourites, in an often underestimated role in the image-making process. The colourist is the wizard that gets blood from the orange and silver from gray. It’s that final human touch, informed by discipline and taste, that stamps our images with the finish that we hope for upon capture.” — Sean Price Williams, Jury President
Also joining this year’s jury is French director, photographer and artist Fabien Baron. His originality and staying power have made him one of the most sought-after creative minds in beauty and beyond. From his re-envisioning of high-profile magazines, including Interview, French Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, to his celebrated work in film, photography and industrial design, his creativity, passion and ingenuity set the tone.
FilmLight has also welcomed Darran Tiernan, an LA-based Irish cinematographer who built his early career in camera and electrical departments before moving into main-unit cinematography, with breakthrough TV credits on ‘American Gods’,’Westworld’, ‘Star Trek: Discovery’, and ‘Designated Survivor’. He has since shot ‘Perry Mason’, ‘Barry, Winning Time’, and ‘The Penguin’, all known for character-driven, cinematic storytelling, alongside many others.
“As a cinematographer, colour is where emotion becomes tangible. It’s the final layer of authorship that shapes how an audience feels, not just what they see. The FilmLight CAMERIMAGE Colour Awards matter because they recognise the artists who refine that language with such precision and sensitivity. They remind us that great storytelling doesn’t end on set. It evolves in the grade. For me, colour is collaboration at its most intuitive and it deserves to be celebrated.” — Darran Tiernan, ISC

He received the Spotlight award at the 2025 Filmlight Colour Awards, for the feature documentary film, ‘Good Shot’.
- Jodie Davidson – London-based, BAFTA-nominated senior colourist with over 20 years’ experience shaping images across high-end television, British independent film and feature projects. With a career built around collaboration and visual storytelling, Jodie has worked closely with leading directors and cinematographers to help define the visual language of each project. Known for her thoughtful and collaborative approach to colour, Jodie brings a deep understanding of the creative decisions, technical craft and artistry behind exceptional colour grading.

His credits include ‘Aadai’, ‘Doctor’, ‘Daaku Maharaaj’, and ‘Jailer’, one of Tamil cinema’s highest-grossing films at over $70M worldwide, alongside the music videos for ‘Aasa Kooda’ and ‘Aabhi Jaa’, which helped pioneer 4K production in India back in 2014. In 2025, ARRI selected him to write and direct an official showcase film for its Ensō Prime lenses.
- Navin Shetty – Founder of Nube Studio and Nube Cirrus, one of India’s most sought-after colourists with over 25 years shaping the visual language of Indian cinema and advertising. His portfolio spans over 10,000 commercials and acclaimed titles including ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, ‘Omkara’, ‘Kaminey’, ‘Kahaani 2’, and ‘Do Patti’. As well as building a leading post-production facility across Mumbai and Chennai, he also runs Nube Film Academy, training the next generation of colourists, and co-produces through Fundamental Pictures, whose ‘Songs of the Forgotten Trees’ premiered at Venice.
- Yusuke Adachi – A Japan-based colourist at TREE Digital Studio. He collaborates with directors and cinematographers from Japan and beyond across commercials, music videos, features, and episodic series. His credits include campaigns for UNIQLO, Toyota, Google, and Apple, music videos for ONE OK ROCK and Mrs. GREEN APPLE, the Netflix series ‘Glass Heart’, and the film ‘AnyMart’ (FIPRESCI Prize, Berlinale). A three-time JPPA Award winner for Colour Grading, Adachi grades with deep respect for on-set light and natural skin tones, revealing each project’s own visual identity rather than a signature style.
