PAUL LEAR
Paul Lear is the first full-time colourist at Sphere Studios in Burbank, where he grades content for the largest screen in the world. Over a 34-year career spanning film, television, and live events, he has built a reputation as one of the industry’s most accomplished colourists – working across Hollywood, Asia, Europe, New Zealand, and beyond. He has been using FilmLight’s Baselight professionally since version 1.0. He helped to shape the platform’s early workflows and demonstrated the very first Blackboard control surface at NAB. His latest work includes the Sphere residencies of the Eagles, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown, and No Doubt, as well as the ‘Wizard of Oz at Sphere’ Experience.
